The beautiful new park in Kimberly, WI combines outdoor recreation with the area’s papermaking history. To emphasize all who worked hard at creating such a vision, The Village of Kimberly recently held the ribbon cutting ceremony, honoring the opening of Treaty Park.
The park is part of the Cedars redevelopment project. Formerly, the area housed the site of the NewPage paper mill. The site is now being re-purposed into The Current of the Fox – Kimberly.
Kimberly community enrichment director, Holly Femal, says plans to build Treaty Park started in 2013.

Treaty Park connects with Memorial Park to the south by trail. Additionally, it will soon connect with the Loop the Locks trail network in Little Chute, Kaukauna and Appleton.
